Andy Russell, Pittsburgh Steelers, 60's/70's
Andy spent 12 years with the Steelers, serving as defensive captain for 9 years. He was selected to the Pro Bowl 7 times and was voted MVP by his teammates in 1970. Andy was also selected for the NFL All-Decade Team (1965-1975) by the NFL Hall of Fame Selection Committee and chosen as one of the NFL's 300 Greatest Players. While playing for the Steelers, he was twice a Super Bowl champion. In 1975, Andy was the recipient of the NFL Players Association's Byron "Whizzer" White Award for the player who had done the most for his team, his community, and his country.
